NEWSLESS

A collaboration between the Hungarian Fine Arts University, Doctorate School and Gallery Dorottya.

The exhibition is a survey of the cutting edge artwork of the Doctorate School's students, who are participating in the three years doctorate education.

Over five weeks, week long exhibitions will be presented. The themes of the exhibitions are structured like news sections: national news, international news, financial news, sport and weather. The artworks are reflecting these news sections' themes in metaphorical or concrete way.

The NEWSLESS exhibition series can also be interpreted as curatorial excersises, because the students themselves created the concept and the grouping of the exhibition. The exhibition consists of choosen artworks created during the last half-year, as well as site-specific works stimulated by the characteristic feature of the Dorottya Gallery.

Far from the static, traditional artwork representation the NEWSLESS exhibition is aiming to document the students' theoretical and practical activity during their three years study. Offering to the exhibition visitor access to their creative processes and artistic strategies.

The NEWSLESS exhibition series aims to take on the students' artistic plurality, which results in a wide range of mediums and stylistic differences under the same thematic exhibition.
